Fekadu Mulugeta (2014) "Institutional culture and sub cultures and Vision, mission and objectives alignment the case of Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia," manuscript

  • According to Schein (1992) organizational culture is the pattern of basic assumptions that a given group has invented, discovered, or developed in learning to cope with its problems of external adaptations and internal integration, and that have worked well enough to be considered valid and, therefore, to be taught to new members as the correct way to perceive, think, and feel in relation to those problems.
  • Collegial culture, managerial culture, developmental culture, and negotiating culture are identified as academic culture that reflects higher education (Bergquist, 1992).
